Heritage Behavioral
Health Center, (HBHC), originally known as Lozano and
Associates Counseling and Consulting, (L&A), was established in
1988 by Renee Lozano, LCSW, whom at the time was a Dallas
police officer assigned to the Psychological Services
Division. In addition, Renee was affiliated with a
counseling group in Arlington, Texas.
Initially, L&A focused on the mental
health needs of law enforcement, fire and other emergency care
employees. In 1992, Art Lozano, LCSW, Renee's husband
and partner joined the practice after retiring with 20 years
of service with the Dallas Police Department. Renee and
Art assembled a team of professionals and dedicated their
energies to establishing a full time private mental health
practice, addressing the various mental health concerns of all
individuals.
In
2000, Renee and Art, with a desire to bring their services to
the community where they live, relocated to the
Grapevine/Colleyville, Northeast Tarrant County area.
L&A became the Heritage Behavioral Health Center, (HBHC).
The name change better defines the community and expansion of
services.
